The Problem

A conservatory with roof blinds which looked like they were ready to fall down. The new owners of this property knew they was going to have to do something with the conservatory roof blinds and quickly before they fell down and that was either going to be, replace the blinds or find an alternative solution that would give the conservatory some shade in order to keep it cool on hot sunny days. They did some research on the internet and found our website, they discovered they could do without the blinds and have a solar control window film installed to the glass roof. They wanted this resolving before they moved in to the property so everything would be ready for them.

Our Solution

A survey first as always was arranged so we could measure the glass and then discuss which window film would best suit their requirements. We asked what would they like the window film to do for them? They wanted a window film that would allow lots of light in to the conservatory whilst keeping the temperature low enough that they could comfortably use the conservatory during the summer months. We explained there was a window film called Low Emissivity Neutral 50 which would do exactly what they desired but also during the winter months it would radiate over 78% of the rooms internal heat back in to the room with its Low E coating. That was the perfect window film for them they agreed. We were able to show photos of previous installations where we had installed this window film to show how it looks once installed as sometimes a small sample doesn't really show much. They received their quotation the same day which they quickly accepted and the installation date was booked.

The Window Film We Used

Low E Neutral 50 was installed to all the glass roof panels. We thoroughly clean all the glass to be treated and then cut the window film oversize for each piece and trim all edges to give a perfect fit.
Our Low E energy saving window films can radiate over 78% of internal heat back in to the room (less than 22% of winter heat lost) during the winter months and reject 78% of solar energy, reduce glare by 82% and stop 99% of harmful UV light entering. These window films are especially popular with conservatories and orangeries due to their all year round performance. The installation took just 5 hours to complete.
