The Problem

A conservatory in Colne, Lancashire was not being used as it could be due to the inside being too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. A quote for having blinds installed to the glass roof was what the owners thought would be there only option until they came across our website on Google. Having telephoned us to see if we could offer a cost effective solution to their problems, we explained that there were several options available to them and they immediately asked to make a free no obligation survey appointment, which we did.

Our Solution

At the survey appointment we were able to show samples of window films that would keep the sun's heat out in the summer and radiate over 76% of the internal heat back in to the room during the winter months with an installation of one of our Low E window films. They couldn't believe that there was a window film that would solve their problems and at such an affordable cost when compared to the quotations they had been receiving for blinds to be fitted. The window film wouldn't block the light from entering so not making the conservatory dark and no issues with having to try and clean the dust and insects which blinds attract as window film is maintenance free apart from normal cleaning.

The Window Film We Used

Low E Neutral 50 solar control window film was installed internally to all the conservatory's glass roof panels once they had all been thoroughly cleaned by the installers. This particular window film reduces heat gain by 57% of the sun's heat and glare by 45% then in winter it will radiate over 78% of internal heat back in to the room with its Low emissivity coating whilst also contributing to a reduced carbon footprint, that's a huge energy cost saving during those winter months.
If you didn't see this window film being applied then you wouldn't ever notice it was there as didn't the the customers wife when she came home she thought that the installers hadn't been to do the installation!
