Conservatory with a big glare problem

The Problem

We were called to this house in Oldham to see if we could offer a solution to dramatically reduce the amount of glare the owners were experiencing. They had just replaced virtually all of the furniture and even replaced the floor inside their conservatory due to their previous furniture being damaged by the sun's light. Blinds wouldn't of been practical as the roof was low and would of been too easy to catch or damage them.

Our Solution

A strong solar control window film was required here that would have a huge impact on the amount of glare they were subjected to. A survey was quickly arranged to assess the extent of the problem and to explain the potential benefits we could offer. The customer was happy to go with our recommendation and wanted us to arrange an installation without delay.

The Window Film We Used

Optitune 15 was installed to all 7 roof units and made an instant reduction to the amount of glare by 85% also blocking those harmful ultra violet rays by 99%. The owner was extremely pleased with the end result and it made a previously uncomfortable conservatory a useful and practical part of their home which could now be enjoyed.
