The Problem

Newly built extension on this home in Knutsford left the owners with a new problem, the huge windows and doors which were south facing allowed the sun's heat to enter through the glazing, heating the whole house up to a point where is was now unbearable for the occupants to be inside. Blinds wasn't an option they wanted to go down as this would block the view and after spending a great deal of money having the work done they didn't want to blank it of with blinds also this wouldn't solve their issue as the heat would just filter around the them but they didn't think there was another option. A quote for blinds came in at over £9000!!.
They heard about us in Knutsford and thought a free survey wouldn't cause any harm and with the possibility of a solution they had nothing to loose.

Our Solution

They called us in Knutsford and an appointment was arranged for a survey. Straight away we knew we could solve this issue relatively easy with an installation of one of our solar control window films. We explained how the window film would work and what benefits would be achieved. We showed samples of different window films that we recommended and we showed photo's of how the window film looked from previous installations we've carried out. We always check the glass to ensure that it is safe to apply the window film we had recommended to install.
The window film chosen has a warm natural internal look than most solar control window films and can go unnoticed once installed with low reflectivity, preserves ambience and views.

The Window Film We Used

Optitune 40 solar control was applied internally to all six glazing panels and with some being over 1.6 meters wide and 2 metres tall we had to join the window film which was barely noticeable to which the customer was very satisfied with.
