Conservatory Suffering From Heat

The Problem
The lady who lived here was desperate to change the look inside her conservatory, it was dull and depressing having to have all the roof blinds closed virtually all the time due to the heat build up and the amount of glare entering through the glass roof and on the rare occasions the blinds were open that created another job of cleaning up all the dead flies and insects. They couldn't use the conservatory as they would of hoped to because of this problem and therefore rendering it pretty much useless.
Our Solution
Remove all the roof blinds and install a light solar reflective window film which offered a balance of letting a good proportion of daylight in whilst reducing the sun's heat and glare to make it a comfortable room that could be used. We took all the roof binds down and removed as the customer had no intention of putting them back up or keeping them.
The Window Film We Used
Solar Control Optitune 40 a fantastic window film which can go unnoticed when installed. This particular window film is of a natural appearance from inside and low reflectance from outside. It allows 41% of light to be transmitted through the glass, rejects 54% of solar energy, 54% of glare reduction and blocks 99% of Ultra Violet light which all helps to dramatically slow down any fading of furnishings. It took 2 days to remove all the blinds and fittings and to install the window film. The customer was delighted with the end result and so were we.
