The Problem

We were contacted by a customer who lives in Altrincham, Cheshire who had done some research in to window tinting or window film as we call it, which would stop their kitchen from getting hot from the sun's heat which was mostly entering through the glass roof. They wanted to still be able to see through the roof so they could sit and see the stars on a clear night, again blinds were out of the question as not only would they obscure the view they collect dust and flies and are difficult to clean, where as window film is maintenance free apart from normal cleaning.

The Window Film We Used

We went out to visit them and to look at the glass to see which type of window film would best suit their requirements, as it was important to them to be able to see out at night we suggested a dual reflective window film which offers a superior solar heat and glare rejection over the standard reflective solar control films and a low back shine at night therefore a less internal reflection. They were happy to go ahead with our suggestion and the installation was arranged. Our installation technicians thoroughly cleaned all the glass to remove dirt, dust and any grease prior to applying the window film as this would be the last time the actual glass would be cleaned or at least for the next 12 years or so. The installation process took one day to complete. The customer was very happy with the outcome.
